  • Last time we checked in with the How It Should Have Ended crew, they were showing us the many more logical ways Star Wars: The Force Awakens could have gone down. Since they got the biggest movie of 2015 down, why not take on the biggest movie of 2016?

Yep, even a movie as well-reviewed and popular as Captain America: Civil War is rife for parody. The HISHE crew have their fun pointing out all the different ways Civil War could have rapidly come to a close, from early on in the movie (who says Civil War needs to have a civil war in it?) to the very end (SPOILERS: that Iron Man vs. Captain America fight probably would’ve been over in a second IRL).

Though I personally loved Civil War, these guys have some great points. Like, where was Vision for half the movie? The guy is so crazily powerful that the only way the writers could’ve had a conflict was to have him inexplicably not show up at critical moments. At least they realized Thor and Hulk were too powerful to have in a fight involving the likes of Black Widow and Hawkeye.

That said, HISHE does a good job of making their criticisms light and funny rather than pointed and nerd-ragey. They clearly have some love for this fun, yet imperfect movie, and that’s what makes this parody enjoyable rather than mean-spirited.
