High up on the list of “You’re a ‘90s kid if you remember…” qualifications sits the name of a show revered by all who watched it: Legends of the Hidden Temple.
Legends of the Hidden Temple was a Nickelodeon game show that ran from 1993 to 1995. It required the participants to pass an elaborate set of games and trivia in four rounds in an attempt to ultimately retrieve an artifact and win a prize.
Millennial fans have been crying out for a reboot of this show (even if we’re all way too old to participate anymore) for years, and while we haven’t quite gotten that wish yet, Nickelodeon did go ahead and make a TV movie based on the gameshow. And it even stars the original show’s host as the host of the fictional theme park attraction.
The Legends of the Hidden Temple trailer premiered at San Diego Comic Con this weekend, and while it didn’t get the enormous response Marvel and DC properties received, people are still absolutely psyched.
