Friends, the current Lego movie, Lego Batman isn’t even in theaters yet and already the Lego film franchise is releasing the trailer for their latest ridiculous motion picture. Who could have thunk that goofy Lego bricks saying silly things in the midst of a grand adventure could be our newest Marvel style franchise, and yet here we are! And the trailer, like the ones that came before it, looks delightful.
Ninjago, based on a Ninja based toy line from the Danish block company, gives the series a goofy story. We see the Ninjagos have a weird relationship with their superhuman villain father. We see goofy gags amidst non stop action, and we see that beloved primitive animation style that Lego Batman and The Lego Movie made work brilliantly. Plus, is that the Ancient One in there? Eh, I guess we’ll have to see the movie to find out.
