The dark horse in the race for top young adult book-turned-movie series (yes, it’s a long title, but it is an important one) came out with their trailer and it has me pulling for them.

Even though “The Maze Runner” seems to be the least known book-turned movie of the season with both “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and “Divergent” already having a huge following, the trailer shows why it shouldn’t be counted out.

If I’m being honest, I may be a little biased in this case for many reasons:

#1 I read “The Maze Runner” months ago. With “The Hunger Games,” I was late on the train, reading it right before the movies came out, and I haven’t even read Divergent (But the movie is so good!)

#2 Dylan O’Brien (Stiles from Teen Wolf for those of you who don’t know his brilliance …yet) is the lead, Thomas.

#3 Dylan O’Brien is the lead, Thomas. (yes, that deserves 2 bullet points because him announcing he would be in this movie may or may not be why I read the book.) Come on, he can go from Youtube videos where he lip syncs Spice Girls to being a favorite on Teen Wolf.

#4 Because the book is exciting, heart-wrenching, and awesome!

So, if you can’t already tell, I’m extremely excited for this movie, and I think you should be too. Don’t shy away from “The Maze Runner” just because you haven’t heard about it (Unlike “The Hunger Games,” which I don’t think anyone could help but be interested in with all the buzz.)

Bonus: The kid from “Love, Actually,” who I just found out was Ferb in “Phineas and Ferb” (Mind! Blown!) is in it and still looks like he’s 12 (and still precious.) Check out the trailer and prepare to be on the edge of your seats. Let us know down below if you are excited about “The Maze Runner” or not and why!
