Just a few days after releasing the first single, "Chains," off his upcoming debut solo album, Nick Jonas premieres the music video.

Nick shows a noticeably more mature side in the video, which is shot in black and white and features the former Disney star falling through the air, fighting through a mob of police and being tied up in a chair by a women.

    Intense, right?!

“It’s definitely a progression for me,” Nick told MTV News when asked about this new chapter in his life. “I really wanted to push myself, work with some people that would help me grow and, you know, I kind of came to a place where I said, look, I’ve already had a full career at the age of 21-years-old and I get to start over and this is really cool and really approach it as a new artist.”

After watching the "Chains" video, it’s evident that Nick isn’t a kid anymore. He’s come a long way since his Disney days. No longer in the shadow of his brothers, Nick Jonas looks to shine with his new single and upcoming album.
