The music video starts with an emotional phone call, and throughout the music video we watch as Selena goes through what is a clearly emotionally straining and draining relationship. Of course rumors will fly, saying this song is about her tumultuous on again off again relationship with Justin Bieber. The song and video seem to be incredibly self-aware and it seems like Selena knows that this is a cycle she needs to break, but we guess there’s a reason the song is called “The Heart Wants What It Wants.”
