Carly Rae Jepsen is Back to Remind Us It Will be Summer Someday

Canadian chanteuse has a new single "I Really Like You"

  • Remember 2012, when the undisputed song of the summer was out-of-nowhere pop behemoth "Call Me Maybe"? Well, Carly Rae Jepsen is back with another candy-coated pop song, "I Really Like You."

  • Via:

  • And it couldn't come soon enough! Debating "songs of the summer" is an annual pastime. The fact that we have another song from this perky Canadian means that summer could, theoretically, be somewhere around the corner.

Will this song dominate the air-and-blog-waves the way "Call Me Maybe" did back in 2012? Maybe, maybe not. But, at the very least, "I Really Like You" reminds us that there will at least be a song of the summer, and that means it will be summer. Eventually. And we really, really like that.
