Pretty much everything has been done on YouTube at this point. (This is likely an entirely untrue statement, but sometimes it feels like it.) So what, as a YouTube musician, do you do to challenge yourself?
Write a song that you play only using one guitar fret, apparently.
Rob Scallon took to the challenge, and succeeded quite masterfully, creating a song that's actually probably more diverse musically than a lot of what's currently on the radio. Which is no dig at our wonderful pop-fueled world, but he could have settled for something a lot easier, and instead he truly rose to the challenge. It's worth a listen (and apparently next week he's going to write a song using EVERY fret).
