Things got awkward(er) at Coachella this weekend when Yeezy crashed the end of A$AP Rocky’s set for what was supposed to be a big dramatic performance of “Father Stretch My Hands” — but it turned out his mic wasn’t working and nobody could hear him.
TMZ breathlessly reported on the incident, calling it “Kanye West’s worst nightmare”:
A$AP Rocky brought Kanye up on stage Friday night as the big surprise, but Yeezy’s mic malfunctioned. You hear A$AP and backup music but no Kanye.
We’re told A$AP got super pissed and after the video ends, he tossed his mic and abruptly ended his set with Kanye in tow.
To a lot of people in the crowd, it appeared the stage managers purposely cut his mic, because he interrupted or went over time or something.

Of course, Taylor Swift was also at Coachella, so it’s not completely outside the realm of possibility that she sabotaged him to get her revenge for that “I made that bitch famous” line.
