  • If you don’t know Walk Off the Earth, you’ve been missing out.

The Canadian band was first catapulted into the spotlight (both on and offline) by their cover of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” featuring all five band members playing a single guitar. Since then, Walk Off the Earth has produced a slew of impressive music videos, both original and covers, racked up almost 2.5 million subscribers, and gone on several big tours.

Their last cover, a lowkey version of “Teenage Dirtbag,” was released three months ago, and the anticipation for whatever would come next has been building ever since.

But it’s here, and it’s pretty awesome.

The group’s latest cover is “Closer” by The Chainsmokers (ft. Halsey). Much like the majority of their videos, it showcases their various talents and impressive musical arrangements without being unnecessarily flashy. Though there’s a great kazoo interlude that’s definitely worth mentioning.
