Rich Chigga, aka Brian Imanuel, has released a remix of his debut single "Dat $tick." Indonesian 16-year-old has features from Ghostface Killah and Pouya. The last time we saw Rich Chigga, in this video of prominent rappers reacting to Chigga's rhymes, Ghostface said he wanted to jump on the song.
Perhaps, then, it comes as no surprise that Ghostface features. Ghostface is best known from his time with the Wu-Tang Clan. You can read about Pouya, the other feature in the remix, right here.
The video features a lot of rap video clichés, including semi-nude women, swear words, and insults. What is surprising about the video is the amount of CGI. Everything is CGI. From the flames coming off Rich Chigga at the beginning, to his magical talking fanny pack. Ghostface and Pouya both get their faces superimposed over Rich Chigga’s body with the help of computer magic. Sure is easier than flying them out to Indonesia.
But that’s what makes the real things all the more impressive. That lineup of neon semi-trucks? Those are real.
Chigga’s rhymes remain fresh. But what stood out (at least to me) is Ghostface Killah’s shout-out to R. Kelly’s Ignition (Remix).
