Whoa! Chance the Rapper and Jeremih Release Surprise Christmas Album

Chance the Rapper and Jeremih released a surprise and amazing album of Christmas rap songs on Soundcloud, and it has to be heard to be believed.

  • Chance the Rapper has had an amazing year. His 2016 album The Coloring Book was unbelievable, and his appearance on SNL a week ago was a delight as well. Now he rounds out this year beautifully by surprising us by dropping a Christmas mixtape with rapper Jeremih on Soundcloud at the last minute. Folks, this thing is an unbelievable listen.

  • The mixtape, titled Merry Christmas Lil' Mama has nine tracks and you can listen to it right now. Go ahead, give it a listen, we'll be here.

What did you think!? Amazing, right? In history there have been a few great Christmas rap songs — RUN-DMC's Christmas in Hollis and Kurtis Blow's Christmas Rappin' come to mind, but an entire album of this stuff is unbelievable. We especially love how the album seems to go through every genre of Christmas song — from the dry and anti consumerist All the Way to the more socially aware The Tragedy. It's fantastic, and Twitter has been alight.
