Lorde Unveils First New Song in Years, Green Light

Lorde! You've returned at last! Huzzah!

  • It's been three years since Lorde's first album made the scene, the brilliant Pure Heroine. From it, we got the hit song "Royals", and since then we've heard nary a peep from the brilliant pop star — save a Hunger Games exclusive song here or there, but finally a new song— Green Light, off of, according to Lorde, her upcoming album, Melodrama.

As typical of Lorde, the song is an active, beautiful, jazz and 80's pop inspired song that tells a tale of heartbreak, during one adventurous evening. It's a beautiful song, and it comes paired with a beautiful album, and we're all excited for this amazing thing.

Already Green Light is in my head and playing up all of my emotions! Oh youth! Oh the beauty of youth! And the beauty of Green Lights! Yes, yes, it's all coming up, yes! Are you excited for Lorde's upcoming album? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
