  • Ludacris is back and his latest music video is all the Internet is talking about at the moment. I’d love to say it’s because the song is a banger, but the rapper has definitely released better. Does Word of Mouf ring a bell?

Since the release of Vitamin D fans on Twitter have been trolling the rapper for flaunting what looks to be a fake chest and set of abs.

  • Newsflash: they are fake! While many thought they were making genius digs at the rapper, Ludacris was just sittin’ back… laughing at our ignorance.

  • If you’ve been a fan of Luda for awhile, you might recall that CGI is kind of his thing. The rapper’s music video for Rollout (2001) featured Luda with a tiny body and big head, Stand Up (2003) featured him with the body of a baby, and Get Back (2004) gave him some out of this world forearms.

  • Aside from the ab controversy, what surprises me most about Luda’s new track is that so many seem to be diggin’ it. Now, I don’t know if it’s just the ’90s/’00s rap/hip-hop fanatic in me, but he could have done so much better. It seems as though Ludacris fell into a trap of wanting to fit in with the cool kids, and it didn’t go over very well.

If I’m being completely honest here, I thought the song and music video were supposed to be some kind of joke until I realized this was somewhat of a comeback.

As a fan, I haven’t lost all hope, however. Here’s to hoping Luda’s 9th studio album is more bearable than Vitamin D.
