If you use Evernote or Feedly, chances are you had a bad day yesterday.
The two services have been under attack by hackers since yesterday, with most users unable to access their accounts. This is called a distributed denial of service attack and it apparently won't end until the companies pay up.
"The attacker is trying to extort us money to make it stop," Representatives from Feedly posted on the site. "We refused to give in and are working with our network providers to mitigate the attack as best as we can."
Many students and businesses rely on these services to hold and organize everything from notes and spreadsheets to Powerpoint presentations. So you can imagine how much it would suck to lose all of that. These hackers are cooold.
