  • During testing in preparation for the upcoming NBA draft, Baylor University’s former center Isaiah Austin received a career ending diagnosis. Austin’s NBA dreams came to a halt when it was found that he suffers from Marfan Syndrome, which causes issues with connective tissues all over the body. Marfan Syndrome could also lead to fatal heart issues. During sophomore year, Austin actually revealed that he was blind in one eye due to the syndrome.

Even with the NBA out of his future, Baylor’s head coach Scott Drew says that Isaiah has nothing but the best support system behind him.
