They say home is where the heart is, however for Carmelo Anthony, home just might be where the highest paycheck is.

Anthony, who is a free agent, is expected to resign a five year contract with the New York Knicks. Although no official statement has been made a source close to the NBA player told the New York Daily News Anthony wants to win a championship in his home state.

Coincidentally, New York Knicks owner Phil Jackson offered Anthony a $129 million contract. A paycheck well over the Chicago Bulls’ $75 million and Los Angeles Lakers’ $96 million, which were teams Anthony was considering.

“He will have something for everybody on Thursday,” Anthony’s friend said. “He is really torn because this is the biggest decision of his career. But he wants to get it done in New York. He told me he believes in Phil.”

Take a look at Anthony’s best moments playing for the New York Knick’s last year.
