Much like LeBron, Jeremy Lin is coming home. The LA born basketball rockstar has been traded from the Houston Rockets to the Los Angeles Lakers, along with a first round draft choice. Terms of the deal are still coming to light and the Rockets will receive compensation.

This deal has implications for Chris Bosh as well. After LeBron’s announcement this morning that he would be rejoining the Cavs, fellow free agent Chris Bosh would seemingly decide to sign with the Rockets, rather than Miami.

By trading Lin, the Rockets have cleared enough salary cap space to make Bosh a maximum offer.

This trade also narrows Carmelo Anthony’s market. With the acquisition of Lin, the Lakers would not have enough money to sign Melo as well. Currently the Knicks, Mavs, and Bulls appear to be the front runners.

This NBA free agency has been a whirlwind of excitement so far, and with Melo yet to sign, and Kevin Love yet to be traded, the action won’t stop anytime soon.
