This month, the first Cat Cafe in Austrailia opened. What is a Cat Cafe, you ask?
IT’S A CAFE WHERE YOU CAN SNUGGLE KITTIES WHILE YOU DRINK COFFEE.
What more do you want out of life?
The above video is part of the Indiegogo campaign for the project, which just opened in Melbourne. The cafe will feature several cats adopted from shelters that will live there permanently. Some of the money raised by the cafe will fund shelters around the city.
The company explains that this cafe is an answer for people who want a pet but are not allowed to have animals in their apartment, can’t make the commitment, or don’t have the money to care for them. “It has also been proven that interacting with cats can lower high blood pressure, stress, and anxiety,” according to the Indiegogo page.
So basically you can grab a coffee and some snuggles for the most relaxing afternoon of your life.

Cat Cafes have been popping up all over the world in the past decade, and for a week in April we even got one in New York City. Purina One teamed up with the North Shore Animal League to create a pop-up Cat Cafe. Unlike the permanent Australian one, this cafe actually gives you the option to adopt a cat, and was intended to raise awareness for cat health.
Now all we need is a purrmanent one!
