  • Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was dishonorably discharged from the Navy Reserve in February 2014 after testing positive for cocaine late last year. Biden, who is now 44, responded to his discharge after the news was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.

“It was the honor of my life to serve in the US Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge. I respect the Navy’s decision. With the love and support of my family, I’m moving forward.”

Biden, a lawyer, is married with three children, and did not join the Navy reserve until he was 43 years old.

While this is certainly an embarrassing week for the Biden family, it hardly compares to the time the Vice President scored 800 feet of copper wire, or had a guy named Worm sit in for him during a cabinet meeting.

With that, I urge all of What’s Trending readers to comment on Facebook to inform me that The Onion is a satire website and that I am a complete and utter nincompoop for including it in this article.
