UPDATE: It was all staged.
As The Smoking Gun reports, 20-year-old Stephen Zhang fed lines to the men who appeared in the video, convincing them they were going to be part of a fictional student film.
According to two sources familiar with the clip’s production, the men in the video were approached on the street to take part in a “comedic, hidden camera” video. One source, who said he declined an invitation to be in the video, told TSG that he was told the production was a “student video.” He added that the film crew did not ask for participants to sign releases or any other “paperwork.”
Again, the videos creators are Stephen Zhang and Seth Leach. They lied to men on the street and told them that they would be part in a fictional student film. They did not sign any release forms.
Actress Jennifer Box (@jennifobox on Twitter) has since apologized for her involvement in the video and says she never would have participated had she known what the result would be.
Below is the original article on WhatsTrending.com on this video, before it was revealed as a hoax.
With the viral success of 10 Hours Walking In NYC a few weeks back, dozens of other YouTubers have been inspired to film women in compromising positions and then watch the creeps approach.
It couldn't have been easier than what Stephen Zhang did. He brought a young woman to Hollywood Blvd. and asked her to pretend to be drunk. Within moments, a series of men approached her and asked if she'd like to come back to their place. If any strangers asked to find her a cab or get her to the bus, it wasn't shown in this video. All we got here is sleaze.
I wonder what Robert De Niro thinks about all this.
Well, hopefully it's not that bad. All I'm saying is there are a lot of weirdos out there.
