It’s estimated that 40% of public school children don’t eat breakfast in the morning. Good nutrition is responsible for optimal brain functionality, and as a result, this disturbing statistic has a direct correlation with poor school performance and low test scores.

This has been one of Michelle Obama’s top issues during her time as First Lady. She has fiercely advocated for increased spending to provide more free school lunches to underprivileged children.

Of course, no good deed goes unpunished, and it’s public school teenagers who are doing the punishing. Across the country, teens are posting to Twitter photos of their disgusting school lunches featuring the hashtag #ThanksMichelleObama.
