RIP Monty Oum

Monty Oum, animator, director, personality and creative driving force behind the show RWBY on the Rooster Teeth channel, has passed away due to an allergic reaction during a medical procedure which left him in a coma.

Matt Hullum, CEO and co-founder of Rooster Teeth, posted this on their website today. In case the link doesn’t work, because of the amount of grieving fans and support hitting RoosterTeeth.com today, here’s a screenshot of Hullum’s message to everyone.

He died surrounded by his co-workers, friends and family. The outpouring of support from Rooster Teeth fans led to the GoFundMe page opened tohelp his family with the medical expenses to reach over $100,000 in the first 24 hours.
