TV choppers in Dallas yesterday were following a high-speed pursuit that came to an abrupt end when the pursued perp crashed into two vehicles, a truck and a minivan.
Immediately after the crash, the driver of the minivan emerged from the vehicle and began to implement a bit of vigilante justice on the crash-causing driver. It's unclear if the vigilante knew that the reckless driver was being pursued by police, or if it was just a reaction to being struck.
Here's higher quality video below, but without sound:
The driver of the minivan has been identified as Jessica Liesmann. Her 13-year-old son T.J. was in the back of the car, but was released from the hospital without injury. Liesmann's four-year-old son died last August.
"I was just angry. I just lost my 4-year-old child on the second day of school, and to think of something else happening to one of my kids," said Liesmann, "I just can't imagine. I'm just grateful, first of all, that he's OK, and second of all, that that guy is in jail."
