This Mother & Daughter Say They Look Like Twins – The Internet Disagrees

Last week on the What’s Trending Podcast, our hosts talked about a viral story of three identical triplet sisters from Indianapolis – only the women were actually two twin sisters and their amazingly young-looking mother. The internet spent days taking Buzzfeed quizzes trying to guess which was which, and it was surprisingly difficult to get it right sometimes.

Now we’ve got another mother-daughter lookalike challenge from the UK, and this one is … not quite as difficult.

Donna Galt, a 33-year-old mother of six, says that people always assume she’s the sister of her 14-year-old daughter Mya because they look so much alike, and they appeared on “This Morning” dressed in identical outfits to prove it.

They’re certainly both attractive, even though crimped hair should have gone out forever in the 1980s, but most of the internet agrees that it’s pretty obvious who the mother is.

Naturally, people on Twitter were their usual gracious selves about the issue.

Responding to criticism, Donna insisted she wasn’t trying to compete with her teenaged daughter. “I am what I am. My family and friends who know me know that I’m normal mum-of-six Donna… I work hard to keep young.”
