Australia Lightning Videos Fake?!

Up and coming internet sleuth and part-robot, Captain Disillusion, has caught yet another set of fake viral videos that were making their rounds on social media.

The two videos, both set in Australia, feature close proximity lightning strikes which Captain Disillusion has shown were clearly faked. He even brings up side-by-side comparisons of the stock visual effects used to create the videos and how little effort was put into their creation.

It’s unsurprising to see fake viral videos these days, but it’s pretty cool that creators like Captain Disillusion are around to debunk them (even if their face make up is a little much).
