You may or may not have eaten pee-contaminated Rice Krispies sometime in 2014, if this video is to be believed.
A 47-second clip posted at WorldStarUncut.com which seems to show a man peeing on a conveyor belt at the Kellogg’s facility in Battle Creek has gone viral, prompting all the news outlets to make a “who peed in your cereal this morning” joke.
Kellogg’s hasn’t confirmed the video is real, but they haven’t denied it either.
Kellogg Company spokesperson Kris Charles says [they’re] looking into it.
“Kellogg takes this situation very seriously and is shocked and outraged by this video. We have alerted law enforcement authorities and regulators, and are conducting a thorough investigation,” Charles said, in a statement.
“Our investigation so far revealed that the video was recorded in 2014 or earlier. We will share more information as we learn more.”
So essentially, if the video is real, it happened years ago and the damage has already been done. It’s unlikely that this made anyone sick, and there’s a small amount of contamination in any packaged food we eat, but still. Gross.
