YouTube is hoping to inspire people interested in sharing their stories online via their platform, which is why they're accepting trailers giving people a chance to tell their stories with the chance of having their channel promoted on the Google Display Network.
For people to participate they must shoot and edit their own trailer advertising their own YouTube channel. YouTube asks that you keep the trailer to 30 seconds or less, and some of the examples they use are as short as 15 seconds. A trailer cannot be longer than 60 seconds, and only one submission per YouTube channel is accepted.
The contest starts today and will end at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on July 19. If you're interested in learning more or in submitting your trailer, visit YouTube's Page on the contest.
