Comedian Dane Cook took to the Laugh Factory stage on Thursday and dished out a joke about the theater shooting in Aurora, Colo., less than a week after the incident that left 12 dead and 58 injured. After telling the audience in Los Angeles that the movie was "crappy," he went on to say that, "I'm pretty sure that 25 minutes into that movie somebody in that theater, realizing it was a piece of crap, probably was like, oh f---ing shoot me." The audience seems response is a mixture of laughs and what sounds like disapproving "ohs", although most end up clapping. Footage of the comments were captured by the Daily Caller.
Is this too soon? Or is Cook just doing his job as a comedian?
