Kanye West gave a two-hour interview with fashion website SHOWstudio, and it will either be an insightful and intriguing experience for you, or you’ll have no idea what this ridiculously over-confident person is talking about. So we’ve put together a quick highlight reel so you can test it out before diving in for the long haul.

“Some answers I’m going to give are not going to make complete sense,” Kanye says early in the complicated discussion about fashion, music, race, social class, his family, why he declares himself a genius like Michelangelo and Picasso and why he hates the color blue. “If you put 2 and 3 in front of me, I’m going to say ‘2 plus 3 is 5, 2 times 3 is 6, 2 divided by 3 is this, 3 divided by 2 is that,’ and then come up with an average.”

It’s bizarre, but there are some interesting ideas going on here if you can keep track of all of them. “I hope the words don’t get in the way of what I mean,” he says. “But words … fuck.”
