  • Last week we got to hang out with the awesome Whitney Way Thore from “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” on TLC, and during her visit she broke down some of the biggest misconceptions that people have about fat people.

At the top of her list was people’s assumptions about how she eats. “I actually find it hard to eat three times a day,” she says. “That’s not to say that I eat super healthy all the time, or that I eat junk all the time; but I think we definitely don’t have the typical eating habits that you might think we do.”

Whitney is also living proof that fat people aren’t always lazy, unhappy or desperate to be thin, despite what everyone is raised to believe.

“Some of us have actually come to terms with our bodies and are happy in our skin, and that doesn’t make us delusional.”

Anyone who’s talked to Whitney can tell that she’s focused on living her best life, no matter what size she is. “I’m very confident,” she says. “I’m actually happier and more confident now than I was when I was thin.”
