  • While at VidCon 2016 with Circa.com, we got the chance to hang out with YouTube superstar Eric Ochoa, AKA SUPEReeeGO, about his new movie Mono, his two new series on YouTube Red and Flama, inspiring fellow Latino filmmakers, and much more. (Check out our interview with fellow Mono star Brandon Bowen here.)

Mono, a new movie featuring loads of online stars (including Christian Delgrosso — check out our podcast with him here) tells the story of a mono epidemic that sweeps a high school’s popular clique, leaving the “unpopular” kids in control. Ochoa describes it as “Mean Girls meets American Pie, so you know it’s gotta be good. Here’s the official trailer:

  • Good stuff. You can pre-order the movie at its official website and pick it up on its official release date July 8th.

But Ochoa has much more in the works. He’s got a new series, Single By 30 with Harry Shum Jr., coming to YouTube Red soon — be on the lookout! And he has a docu-series out now on Flama called Becoming a Luchador. Check out part one at Flama right here.
