In the wake of Matthew McConaughey's decision to leave True Detective after just one season, the question on fans' minds has been who will replace him?

Reports are that the "In Bruges" actor, Colin Farrell, is in talks to be one of three stars in the upcoming season. John Carter fans may rejoice as well, as Taylor Kitsch is talks reportedly, too.

This next season is looking big. HBO programming president Michael Lombardo had this to say about the new season:

"The two scripts we have … I hate to jinx it … they are more exciting than the first season.”

True Detective has been nominated for 12 Emmys this year, and if Colin Farrell joins, the show could be headed for more.
