One teacher at LA Trade Technical College got to break the news on Friday that Kanye West was going to be stopping by for a lesson.
What lesson could the rap star possibly give to a group of 40 digital communications students, you may ask? Well, he spent 2 hours talking about his own personal struggles and the importance of education. Among those students were also a group of troubled kids from a summer bridge program who may not even have graduated from high school.
This wasn’t the first time he dropped by LATTC. He’s made a total of four visits now, with the most recent being in June.
When one student was asked how he’d rate Kanye as a teacher, he responded, “I’ve listened to Kanye since I was younger, but I can’t rate him as a teacher because he didn’t come to teach a fashion class. He just spoke about his inspirations. He didn’t try to be a teacher, he simply spoke about how life really is.”
