To whom do we have to thank for this super-timely “Dick In A Box” parody? The answer is Joe Mallet, Internet Sales Manager for Oak Lawn Toyota in Illinois, which I think means that his entire job is coming up with stuff like this.

According to what looks like exhaustive research by Jezebel — seriously, they put in far more effort than I ever would for this video — Mallet and his buddies think they’ve really hit on something with this masterpiece. They report that Mallet believes “Keys in a Box” to be the “single greatest video ever produced by a car dealership.” Apparently they’ve never seen the classic Ralph Williams commercial for Bay Shore Chrysler-Plymouth.

In an interview with Edmunds.com, Mallet says he’s far from done.

Mallet is already thinking about the next video he’ll come up with. When asked how his bosses feel about his budding music-video stardom, he told Edmunds, “This is probably just what they expected from me when they hired me.”

    We can only hope, sir.
