Recently unearthed footage of Chris Farley voicing "Shrek" has the internet reminiscing about what might have been.

Farley was originally cast to play everyone's favorite big green ogre in Dreamworks' "Shrek," but he passed away in 1997 before he finished recording. Farley's character was a bit different from Mike Myers' loner Scottish version - an adolescent ogre with no Scottish accent who was trying to prove himself to his overprotective parents and find someone to share his home with.
