A week following the release of her first ever single, Academy Award nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld proves to be a triple threat with her first ever music video. The video follows in the spirit of the song, with a giant #LoveMyself mirror to give strangers passing by a little reminder to do so - then turns into a full on dance party by the end.
"Love Myself" has been my jam since it came out, and I also really dig this music video. I would be very surprised if this song wasn't in the Top 40 by the end of the summer, or even the end of this week. There's a lot I love about the song, but Lena Dunham of HBO's "Girls" summed it up pretty perfectly in a recent Instagram post.
I love this song @haileesteinfeld and I wish it had existed for teenage me. It would have eradicated so much shame and I'm just feeling this vibe so hard that it made me dance around in circles in a Tokyo hotel room (it did not make me touch my pain away though, I am very old and very tired) #ScreamMyOwnName
