Amy Schumer, Serena Williams Pose Nearly-Nude for Annie Leibovitz

Amy Schumer is making waves in her usual blunt, funny way with this nude photograph for the 2016 Pirelli Calendar, shot by Annie Leibovitz – an unflinching black-and-white image in which she’s beautiful because of her imperfections, not in spite of them.

While enjoying a latte. Because obviously.

The annual calendar produced by Pirelli tires, which usually features artfully lit nude photographs of supermodels (it’s ART, you see, not just sexy pinups for mechanics to stare at), is going in a different direction this year. Leibovitz set out to celebrate real women of all ages and backgrounds, featuring Yoko Ono, Ava DuVernay and Patti Smith, among others.

For Schumer’s picture, Leibovitz joked, “The idea was that she was the only one who had not got the memo about wearing clothes.”

“I felt I looked more beautiful than I’ve ever felt in my life,” Schumer said in a behind-the scenes video, “and I felt like it looked like me.”

Serena Williams also stripped down for a stunning addition to the calendar, which is a fitting follow-up to her photoshoot for New York Magazine.
