  • Guys, another Tony’s is happening folks, and if you’re a Broadway fan you could not be more thrilled at what’s going on. We’ve seen amazing musical numbers, amazing work and an amazing hosting job from the star of stage and screen. Mr. Frank Underwood himself, Kevin Spacey. What could we have expected from Kevin Spacey — normally a TV and movie star, now lighting up the town with old Broadway. Was his opening number good? It was kind of weird He danced— tap danced — and payed homage to classic narratives of musical drama from eons past. Check him out channeling Sunset Boulevard up there. Oh! And we’ve had some winners!

Then there were the actors! Gavin Creel for Hello Dolly for Musicals, Michael Aronov for Oslo, and– whoa Kevin Kline won! Nice! Ben Platt won for Dear Evan Hansen, Cynthia Nixon for best actress in a play both gained big victories, as did Laurie Metcalf but the biggest winner— WHY YOU DEAR VIEWER! I mean, isn’t it always. Oslo and Dear Evan Hansen won best play and best musical respectively, the latter made by the La La Land team — folks, the night is full of surprises!
