  • If you wanted to try to take a guess at what the next big story from Twitter is going to be, you don’t need to look further at Twitter’s bizzare safety protocol practices. Although the tech giant drags its feet banning Nazis, serial harassers, and allows the President to straight up threaten the head of North Korea with Nuclear War, they took a stand — and banned Rose McGowan — the actress speaking up vocally against Harvey Weinstein on Twitter.

Rose McGowan revealed her ban on Instagram — and the ban was to last for 12 hours or until Rose deleted a certain tweet. People were trying to guess which tweet it was, and many decided that it was the one swearing at Ben Affleck — a man whose past acts of sexual assault are now slowly coming out himself.

  • Twitter Support later revealed it was because Rose McGowan tweeted out someones phone number and apologized for not being more transparent. Many on Twitter believe they missed the point of their outrage, with many pointing out that white supremacists tweeting out phone numbers have not been punished as much as this woman outing accusers in Hollywood.

  • So what the hell Twitter? At this point it seems like you’re more okay with barreling towards nuclear war than helping marginalized voices. Here is what some on Twitter had to say.

  • Some have called for a day of silence on October 15th to protest Twitter’s seemingly Nazi enabling double standard.
