  • Just when the world has just settled into the idea of a “Black Panther movie,” Marvel releases the latest trailer for one of their films (the first of phase four, no less) showing that their dedication to unique visions is not abating after “Thor: Ragnarok.” “Ant-Man and the Wasp” picks up after we last saw Ant-Man in “Captain America: Civil War,” where he was arrested for working with the then criminal Captain America. The FBI raids the home of our hero — Paul Rudd as Scott Lang — as he and his co-stars, Evangelyne Lily as Hope Pym and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, go on the run.

  • The movie looks visually incredible and inventive, as we see sights such as Hank Pym shrink a building down to the size of a travel bag — handle and all — and battles taking place using the unholy weapon of a Hello Kitty Pez Dispenser.

We even get a first glimpse at the film’s villain — who in the Marvel Universe is known only as “The Ghost.” Who is the Ghost? The Ghost’s identity in the comics isn’t actually known — but lately, they’ve been a sort of mercenary in a suit which can make him (or her) travel through walls. Will she be the film’s main villain? It’s hard to tell, but if she is, it would be another worthy weird addition to Marvel movies’ ever-expanding roster.

  • Tiny, tiny superheroes in a vast, vast universe fighting corporate espionage against a ghost. We cannot wait!
