  • It’s not often that rap gets recognized for the incredible art form that it is, and Kendrick Lamar has made history for the art form with his album DAMN. winning the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in Music. Said the Pulitzer website of the album’s win )which can be found here) —

“Recording released on April 14, 2017, a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life.”

  • It’s rare for popular culture to find this kind of recognition, but to say it’s deserved is a ridiculous understatement. Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. won Best Rap Album of the Year at the Grammys, and we have big Oscar hopes for Kendrick’s incredible Black Panther soundtrack. So forget EGOTs, it’s about the POGs now — Pulitzer, Oscar, Grammy.

As massive fans of this incredible artist, we are excited.
