  • Black Panther was a historical motion picture, an example of important filmmaking and representation in the absolute, and a sigil and symbol that united our culture and started an afro-futurist conversation and recognition of black excellence that shows no sign of slowing down.

However, at the heart of it, is Chadwick Boseman experiencing what so many actors of runaway fandom laden hits have experienced before him — a sort of exhaustion with having to represent this idea that’s so powerful to so many people? I don’t know if it’s accurate, but the Internet has really launched into the idea that Chadwick Boseman is absolutely exhausted with having to do the Wakanda salute.

Footage of him at a recent graduation restarted the conversation, along with footage of a tired, exhausted Chadwick on the red carpet. Check it out below.

  • What do you think though? Is Chadwick Boseman sick of doing the Black Panther salute, or is he a normal human being with stuff to do and a life we may not be privy to? Will the Wakanda salute in the second movie be preceded by a long tired sigh? Can I ask Tom Holland to turn into a pile of dust if I run into him?
