  • It might be hard to get through a sportsball game without listening to Ghost Town DJs for a while, thanks to the #RunningManChallenge taking over the internet.

    ESPN explains:

A few weeks ago, Maryland Terrapins guards (and goofballs) Jaylen Brantley and Jared Nickens issued a dance challenge to some friends in the college basketball world. Their message: “Who wanna battle?” Many accepted the call in the #runningmanchallenge -- all accompanied by the underrated '90s track, “My Boo” by Ghost Town DJs. (Message to anyone over 30: This is not our Running Man.)

It’s not just a basketball thing anymore, either — a bunch of other athletes and sportscasters are joining in.

  • A charity group has decided to jump on the trend and use it to battle muscular dystrophy by launching RunningManChallenge.org:

In April of 2016, Maickel Melamed successfully completed all 26.2 miles of the Boston Marathon. Maickel accomplished this incredible feat despite being diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. His unbreakable spirit and determination inspired us to take immediate action. Coupling the viral sensation that is The Running Man Challenge with a fundraising initiative, we strive to increase awareness and find a cure to this devastating disease.
