“I’m not ashamed of them at all.”

  • For once, we have a story about a young actress’ breast size that a) isn’t crude or gratuitous and b) is getting pretty much only positive attention.

Ariel Winter plays Alex Dunphy on “Modern Family,” and she also happens to be pretty good at social media. For instance, at the SAG Awards, she wore a gown that showed the scars from her recent breast reduction surgery, and when her fans started commenting on it, Ariel responded with this:

  • She also posted this quote from fashion designer Marc Jacobs: "I always find beauty in things that are odd & imperfect-- they are much more interesting."

Back in June, Ariel had her breasts reduced from a 32F to a 34D. She just turned 18 this week.

    She explained to People Magazine:

”I was 15 years old with [size] F [breasts]. It made me feel really uncomfortable, because as women in the industry, we are totally oversexualized and treated like objects."

Good on her for encouraging people, especially women and girls, not to be ashamed of their flaws and daily battle scars.
