Kanye West Has Been Placed on a Psychiatric Hold

After a series of erratic outbursts and the cancellation of his Saint Pablo tour, Kanye West was committed to a medical facility in LA.

  • Yesterday, known God and ever-popular rapper Kanye West was put in psychiatric hold at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Earlier, he abruptly cancelled his Saint Pablo tour, causing a lot of concern in the Yeezus fandom.

    While this was all going down, his wife Kim Kardashian West was on a private jet headed to a fashion benefit honoring her late father, Robert Kardashian, in New York City. When Kim learned of the news concerning her husband, she turned around and flew back to Los Angeles.

    According to the Associated Press, West was taken to the hospital in an ambulance on Monday afternoon.

Various media outlets report based on anonymous law enforcement sources and West representatives that that the hip-hop superstar was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon because of stress and exhaustion and he is spending the night there for his own safety. Without confirming that the patient was West, Los Angeles police told The Associated Press that officers were called to a house on Laurel Avenue for a disturbance at about 1:20 p.m. When they arrived it was clear that nothing criminal was occurring and it was a medical situation instead. Police tell the AP West was taken in an ambulance to the hospital and placed on a psychiatric hold."
