  • Derrick Ashong on what he felt when he heard about the raid:

When it happened, a lot of people were cheering in DC and I wasn’t cheering, I was at home and I was listening. I was really thinking about it. I lost a family member in 9/11, a lot of people don’t know that, but I was happy he (Osama Bin Laden) was dead and I had to ask myself..have I ever been happy someone is dead?”

Diem Brown on where she was when she heard the news of the raid:

“I was, randomly enough, at Stagecoach Music Festival and Kenny Chesney told us about it and you heard “Whoa Ho!” in the air, but for me it was full of mixed emotions. It’s funny because you are celebrating someone who’s dead and it was a weird thing where…yes, it was a good thing, but I’m celebrating someone dying.”
