"Zero Dark Thirty" Re-Imagined As a Hunt for Horrifying Internet Phenomenon, Slenderman | YouTube Trailers

  • Movies and TV shows all get trailers and sneak previews. So, why shouldn’t YouTube videos get a similar Hollywood treatment? What’s Trending is here to change that.

In this latest installment of "YouTube Trailers," Kathryn Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty" white-knuckle thriller -- based on the true story of the manhunt for Osama bin Laden -- is re-imagined with the nefarious and elusive Slender Man.

Slender Man (or Slenderman, if you prefer) was born out of a Something Awful forum, on which users tried to create a scary online hoax. The tall, thin, faceless, frequently-tentacled foe has since been featured in numerous images and videos around the Web, including his own video game, "Slender."

While it's easy to write all of the evidence off as photoshopped, fact-bent nonsense, who's to say that Slenderman isn't still lurking among our physical and virtual worlds?
