Kanye West performed at the UK’s Glastonbury music festival this past weekend, and at one point launched into a cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
A few things to point out:
– Freddie Mercury was a legendary singer with a five-octave vocal range and could jump from bass to soprano without breaking a sweat.
– Technically, Kanye doesn’t really sing at all.
– Isn’t AutoTune the coolest? (No, it isn’t.)Still, is it worthy of outrage that Kanye sang “Bohemian Rhapsody” along with the crowd? Maybe it was an homage to a fellow industry-defining superstar, or maybe he was just enjoying himself with his fans.
Also, side question: will Kanye getting interrupted on stage and the following “I’mma let you finish” jokes ever stop being funny?
