Lenny Kravitz Splits His Pants, Starts #PenisGate

I know everybody’s made the “rock out with your cock out” joke already, but I can’t think of anything else, so here you go.

As you’ve probably heard, Lenny Kravitz was performing at the Grona Lund theme park in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday when his very tight leather pants split open and his dick fell out in front of thousands of people. The internet immediately freaked out, #PenisGate and “Lenny Kravitz” trended on Twitter, and an explicit animated GIF of the incident seared itself into everybody’s eyeballs. (I’m gonna let you find it yourself, because this is a family-friendly website.)

Today we’ve reached the thinkpiece phase of the story, with the Guardian investigating how difficult it is to rip leather pants and people pointing out that if Lenny Kravitz was a woman who accidentally exposed herself on stage we’d all be reacting very differently and that’s SEXIST.

The story also reminds us that it’s hard to recall many details of Kravitz’s music career ever since “The Hunger Games,” and one time he wore a comically oversized scarf that has its own Facebook page.
